The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests professionally and courteously. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Promptly, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring attention to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Deliver food and beverages to tables efficiently, checking for guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
Menu Knowledge:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
Upsell and recommend additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages, to enhance the dining experience.
Table Maintenance:
Ensure tables are set and ready for guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service.
Refill drinks, clear empty plates, and maintain a tidy dining area during service.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service and address guest needs. - All other relevant duties assigned
Requirements
- 1 year previous experience as a waiter is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and processing transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
