ABOUT THE POSITION
WSIPC is seeking a Systems Analyst to support HR and Payroll systems working successfully with others to
understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
The successful candidate is team-oriented and self-driven with excellent communication, technical,
problem solving and analytical skills. The incumbent is involved in the entire software life cycle from
requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and support.

WSIPC is a non-profit cooperative that empowers K-12 schools with a powerful lineup of technology
solutions, services, and support. Membership includes 9 Educational Service Districts and more than 280
school districts, who represent nearly 730,000 students in over 1,500 schools. Our product suites for K-12
education include Financial Management, Human Resources and Student information systems delivered
from a combined database for each district.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as liaison between WSIPC, state/federal agencies, information service centers, end users,
internal departments and software vendors to ensure enhancements, state mandates,
state/federal reports and new software products or systems are delivered and maintained to
specification.
Participate in the definition, development and documentation of software technical requirements
and specifications.
Analyze existing business systems and procedures to support the conceptualization and design of
new software to satisfy customer needs.
Maintain and adhere to documentation of internal processes, standards and/or procedures for
the purposes of quality assurance and efficiency.
Design, document and execute software tests of software applications for the purpose of
confirming functionality, correcting errors and/or isolating areas for improvement.
Document enhancements, state/federal mandates, state/federal reports and new ad-hoc reports
by creating release notes and online documentation.
Assist in definition of software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and
implementation.
Provide analytical and troubleshooting skills for tiered support on software related to
state/federal mandated areas, state/federal reports and ad-hoc reporting.
Assist with the enhancement cycle between the Information Service Centers, software vendors
and WSIPC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or
software engineering, and/or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of WA Payroll and Department of Retirement systems is highly desired.
Knowledge of relational database and operating systems
Experience developing technical specifications
Experience developing and executing test cases and plans
Ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Exceptional customer service orientation
Effectively work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to work additional hours to meet deadlines
Ability to travel occasionally in or out-of-state, some overnight travel
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is an overtime exempt position. Annualized salary based on qualifications and experience.
