ICF is seeking a Software Developer to work on a Digital Health program which directs, leads and supports a government agency website, Intranet and other digital tools and services that support the needs of a number of government offices. This program also provides leadership and support to different Operating Divisions.
What you will do:
The Software Developer will actively be implementing front and backend components of new or existing solutions, which may include integration and implementation on a variety of platforms to include web, cloud and mobile. You will work with technical staff to understand and develop new web applications, resolve customer complaints with applications and responds to suggestions for software modifications. Will be responsible for design, test and integrate system and enterprise software and multi-tier architectures. Provide technical support in software development projects using database, network, middleware, and other related technologies. Will have the opportunity to assist in the training of less experienced software developer staff.
What you will need:
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in IT software design, coding, testing, and debugging applications in various software languages.
- Experience in performance tuning, improvement, balancing, and automation. Experience integrating software/system/applications with existing systems. Experience with DevOps, continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Skills sets in C++, Java, .Net, J2EE, JSP, SOAP, XML, PHP, MySQL, Oracle, Unix, Linux, XSLT, Ruby, AJAX, and J2ME.
- Solid experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Services/APIs.
- Experience with widely used framework such as JQuery, Bootstrap
- Strong experience with source control systems, such as GIT.
- Understanding with web related protocols and standards, such as HTTP, SSL, REST, JSON.
- Experience with Cloud, “serverless” and microservice architecture.
- Experience with LDAP, OAuth, AD Security.
- Experience delivering scalable software products and services in an Agile environment.
Preferred Skill:
- Exposure to automation tools such as Jenkins and JIRA.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science/information technology is strongly preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
