Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong front end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework
This role will support the design, development, and enhancement of web based applications used in secure government environments
Experience building user friendly interfaces, supporting application functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with teams that support cybersecurity, compliance, or authorization workflows
Develop and maintain web based applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Build clean, responsive, and user friendly interfaces
Support enhancements to existing applications, portals, dashboards, and workflow tools
Work with technical and functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into working software
Troubleshoot application issues and support defect resolution
Assist with integrating front end components with backend services, APIs, and platform workflows
Support applications that align with Risk Management Framework processes, cybersecurity compliance, and authorization activities
Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and engineering teams to improve automation, reporting, and user experience
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
Document technical designs, system updates, and development work as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field.
Experience developing applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Understanding of front end development concepts, responsive design, and browser compatibility
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework processes and cybersecurity compliance concepts
Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting production systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to support secure systems, documentation, and compliance driven workflows
IAT Level II or willing to obtain within 6 months
Nice To Have
Familiarity with NIST 800-53, authorization packages, controls, POA&M tracking, or assessment workflows
Experience with ServiceNow, GRC, IRM, CAM, or similar compliance platforms
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, or backend integration concepts
Experience working in Agile development environments
