QSR Automations is looking for an Automated Test Engineer!
Job Summary:
QSR Automations has an immediate opening for an exceptional, results-oriented individual for the role of Automated Test Engineer.
Automated Test Engineers will create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans for primarily automated testing (and some manual testing) of software across a variety of applications, environments, and operating systems. Automated Test Engineers will work closely with their Agile Development team to ensure both Sprint goals and deployment deadlines are met.
The Automated Test Engineer will be building, coding, and implementing software evaluation test programs, running programs for ensure testing properly evaluates the code, and tweaking the software testing systems for maximum performance. Responsibilities also include identifying, reporting, and thoroughly documenting all software defects found. The Automated Test Engineer will participate in a variety of ongoing testing including smoke, functional, negative, UI, compatibility, install and regression.
To be successful as an Automated Test Engineer, one should be able contribute to continuous process improvement across the software life cycle of planning, development, and testing. A stand-out Automated Test Engineer is one who is self-directed and able to adjust their pace to meet demanding deployment deadlines.
What you will be doing:
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans / scripts for both manual and automated testing
- Identify, record and thoroughly document software defects
- Ongoing maintenance of test cases / test suites in TestRail
- Accurately estimate level of effort for testing (hours/story points)
- Review provided product documentation and user help resources for accuracy
- Assist with post-deployment testing in Production
- Assist QA Manager in evaluating and selecting automated testing tools and processes
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Possess basic Windows networking skills
- Experience working with Windows OS, all major web browsers, MySQL, Apple iPads, Apple iPhones, Android phones and tablets
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of SQL databases and SQL queries
- Experience with automated testing framework (Selenium, Appium, Postman, etc.)
- Experience with scripting language(s) such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
What the role is:
- Full-time, salaried position
- Hybrid Schedule, minimum of 3 days in office
- Regular M-F business hours
- Based out of our Louisville, Kentucky headquarters
