The Role:
As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team responsible for the user experience of AMD’s graphics products. To this end, you will be charged with researching cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with multiple software functional teams to deliver the best possible user experience to our end-users.

Responsibilities:
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain core technologies for innovative applications on AMD platforms.
- Promptly triage and resolve quality and performance issues raised by customers and QA.
- Work closely with product managers and teams from other functional areas to gather and document software requirements.
- Actively participate in design reviews and code reviews.
- Collaboration with international teams of software specialists.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Working experience with C++.
- 1-2 years developing desktop applications in the Windows environment
- Experience with OOP design and development.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and spoken communication skills to interface with multi-functional teams.
- Proactive, conscientious, and a team player.
Nice-to-have Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience with Qt and QML
- Understanding of Windows internals
- Prior experience with multimedia, audio/video processing, and streaming
- Familiarity with network programming and communication protocols
- Web development experience
- Mobile application development experience
- Knowledge of DirectX and OpenGL
Academic Credentials:
- Bachelor or master’s in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
