The Analytics ADC Developer Experience team is at the forefront of delivering AWS Agentic AI cloud services to our customers in classified environments. With a focus on expanding Agentic AI services across US ADC and GovCloud regions, driving automation investments, and delivering open-source solutions, we are at the forefront of modernization. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
You will develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data. Our engineering team supports services running in GovCloud and US ADC regions. The team is responsible for diving deep to resolve operational challenges, innovating to automate operational tasks, build open source solutions for our customers, supporting execution of various security campaigns (blocked software, host patching), and parity programs.

As a Software Development Engineer you will:
- Work cross functionally to foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
- Love to code. Whether its building tools in Java or solving complex system problems in Python, the ideal candidate will love using technology to solve problems. You have a solid understanding of software development methodology and know how to use the right tool for the right job.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will build innovative solutions, expand services to meet the demands of US government customers, and improve our operations to provide resiliency and the best experience for our customers. You influence technical strategy and architectural decisions within the team and with partner teams and make data-driven decisions. You bring best practices in operational and engineering excellence by actively contributing to ticket resolution, infrastructure improvements, and service deployments. Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
