Description
You will partner with software engineers and product managers to build and operate the high-availability, low-latency distributed systems that execute inventory transfer and crossdocking decisions across Amazon's fulfillment network. You will design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, transactional services where correctness and reliability are non-negotiable. The ideal candidate has a high sense of ownership, the ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, and a strong bar for operational excellence. This role will challenge you with problems of scale in distributed systems, high-throughput transaction processing, and building services that stay available and correct under continuous load. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building and operating high-availability, Tier-1 distributed transactional systems with a strong operational-excellence and on-call track record.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
