Software Engineer, API
Location: India Hybrid/Remote
About the Role
TechnoMile is looking to hire a Software Engineer, API. This role is responsible for actively contributing to the design and development of enterprise applications using Java, Python, and modern microservices architectures. The position requires strong technical expertise in cloud-native technologies, containerization, APIs, and database systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and guide team members. The ideal candidate collaborates across teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with product roadmaps and project deadlines.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to development by implementing user stories and supporting code delivery when needed.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and break them down into manageable tasks for team members.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by being a highly motivated self-starter who leads by example and promotes a “do what it takes” mindset to meet project goals.
- Estimate, plan, and help manage delivery for medium-sized IT projects.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product vision, roadmap, and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise Java and/or Python development.
- Strong experience with Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka.
- Experience usingJUnitor similar testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
- Experience implementingCI/CD pipelinesusingJenkinsor similar tools.
- Experience developing and integratingREST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL)and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Experience withElasticsearchandRedis caching.
- Understanding ofsystem scalability and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating withCRM platformssuch asSalesforceorMicrosoft Dynamics.
- Working knowledge ofPython programming.
- Familiarity withcode quality and analysis toolssuch asSonarQube.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working with MongoDB.
- Strong familiarity with the Spring ecosystem.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such asAngular,React, orNode.js.
- Experience integrating Java applications with identity systems such as IAM/SAML(e.g.,Azure AD,Okta).
- 1+ year of experience working with Linux operating systems.
- 2+ years of cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
