Job Description

We are looking for a versatile and motivated Software Engineer to develop and integrate hardware and Desktop applications primarily in C# and partly C++. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure seamless hardware-software integration, improve system performance, and drive structured documentation and testing processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW 

 

  • Extend and optimize C#/C++ code for hardware communication and system applications 
  • Develop and integrate software that enhances the performance and usability of our technology 
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated software and hardware testing 
  • Investigate and analyze external and internal bug reports 
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering to align development with project goals 
  • Support implementation and code review within the software team 
  • Participate in and refine all stages of the software development process, including research, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment 
  • Maintain structured documentation and project tracking, ensuring clarity, reproducibility, and version control 

 

YOUR SKILLS 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Extensive knowledge in .NET/C# on Desktop and embedded platforms, knowledge in Desktop UI development (WPF, Avalonia) is a plus 
  • Experience with hardware communication in C#, and embedded development in C++ 
  • Experience in software testing methodologies 
  • Preferably experience in software development in regulated environments (e.g. semiconductor, medical, automotive) 
  • Experience with Git, CMake, and Linux/Yocto is a plus, familiarity with DevOps principles and tools is also a bonus 
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, eager to tackle complex challenges 
  • Hands-on approach with a passion for building and optimizing technical solutions 
  • Fluent in English and can communicate your ideas clearly and effectively. Proficiency in German is an advantage
