Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Works on complex software development projects that enable revenue growth and process efficiencies in the Manufacturing Network. Contribute to the architecture, design, development, testing, and maintenance of system interfaces to meet business requirements. Ensure the best software design practices are used for testing, scalability and security. Consult with and advise business partners.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop applications that integrate with internal and external retail and commercial tools
  • Evaluate current business processes and future business needs in order to help define team and departmental software development strategy
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to research innovative ideas and technology solutions for the business and help create proof of concept programs, integrations, and applications
  • Apply subject matter expertise to help develop innovative applications and integrations to meet unique customer needs
  • Maintain and update existing applications and solutions
  • Work with Documentation Specialists and Technical Writers to develop relevant documentation materials necessary for application deployment and SDLC best practices
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years software development experience
  • 3+ years in a print or custom manufacturing industry
  • Expert knowledge of C#, XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, SOAP/Rest API's
  • Expert knowledge of software engineering practices and SDLC
  • Expert knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing and release management
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure)
  • Experience with source control tools (e.g. GitHub preferred)
  • Experience with Windows IIS server administration
  • Experience with database management, structure and architecture
  • Experience with manipulating Excel and PDF files via code a plus
  • Experience with EFI Pace a plus
