Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. The F-35 Core Processing Software (CPSW) Development Team is looking to expand the support of production test activities (CSCI Test Team). This position is primarily for Software Test Engineering.

The candidate must have the ability to analyze requirements and create safety critical test cases from those requirements to ensure the proper behavior of the air vehicle.

The candidate will perform software quality testing and will be responsible for producing engineering documentation about the test activity. This will include creating Software Quality Test Report Summaries and Software Problem Anomaly Reports for internal and external stake holders.

The candidate shall have the ability to perform root cause analysis for failing test cases and then effectively communicate the findings to the CPSW development team for resolution.

The candidate must be process oriented and have a great eye for detail as the CPSW software must adhere to the Software Evidence Assurance Level 1 process (SEAL1).

This position will also provide the opportunity to develop automation utilities applications to improve test quality and efficiency. In this role, the candidate should be proficient developing C++ software, creating swat scripts, and perform unit testing. aerosw

Basic Qualifications

Experience with C++, Python, GitLab

Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university

Must be a US citizen. Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
