Job Description

At Eaton, we’re powering what matters  and that includes delivering advanced maritime safety systems. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team working on our critical solution used in demanding environments worldwide.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software for CCTV systems using C# on the Microsoft .NET platform, contributing to both new product development and the enhancement of existing solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, design, and maintain software for HERNIS FLEX Server and Client applications
  • Program CCTV software solutions using C#, .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests, including automated test systems
  • Design and implement tests for new software in line with approved specifications
  • Contribute to software architecture, design, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce technical documentation, including user manuals and training materials, in accordance with company procedures
  • Perform software testing, debugging, and statistical code analysis
  • Provide technical support internally and externally, including contributing to effective technical solutions
  • Deliver training and support across departments on CCTV systems (operation, configuration, networking, cybersecurity)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Proven experience in software development  using C#
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET ecosystem
  • Experience with software testing methodologies, including unit and integration testing
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and code analysis tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is highly beneficial
  • Fluency in Norwegian and strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
