Position Overview
As a Python Developer / Data Engineer at i95dev, you'll work on developing and maintaining critical data integration pipelines, automation scripts, and database solutions that power our eCommerce and ERP integration platform. You'll collaborate with our engineering team to build robust, scalable data processing systems that handle millions of transactions for our enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
Write, debug, and maintain Python scripts for data processing, transformation, and automation tasks across our integration platform
Develop and execute MS SQL queries; design, create and manage database tables, views, and stored procedures for high-volume transaction processing
Document code logic, data workflows, and technical processes clearly to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer
Translate functional and technical requirements into well-structured, efficient code that meets enterprise-grade standards
Collaborate on version-controlled projects using Bitbucket or Git, following best practices for code reviews and documentation
Work with Selenium and other automation tools for web interaction, data scraping, and quality assurance
Leverage popular Python libraries for data manipulation and integration (pandas, requests, json, openpyxl, etc.)
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across our data pipelines
Technical Requirements
4+ years of professional experience with Python, especially in scripting, automation, and data transformation
Strong expertise with MS SQL Server including writing complex joins, views, stored procedures, and optimizing table design
Proficiency with Git/Bitbucket workflows and version control best practices
Experience with automation tools like Selenium, and libraries like pandas, openpyxl, requests
Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code with proper error handling
Familiarity with Agile environments and iterative development methodologies
Understanding of REST APIs and web services integration
Bonus: Experience with cloud-based tools (AWS, Azure), QA/testing frameworks, or eCommerce platforms
