Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Informatica Developer with strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, Unix/Linux, ETL development, and data warehousing to design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data integration solutions. You will play a key role in building and optimizing ETL workflows, ensuring high-quality data movement and transformation across enterprise systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business analysts, database administrators, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust data integration solutions that support business intelligence and operational reporting.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to support enterprise data integration requirements.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work with Teradata databases to design, implement, and optimize data integration and reporting solutions.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable ETL designs and technical solutions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Troubleshoot ETL job failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure timely data processing.
• Optimize ETL workflows and SQL queries to improve performance and meet SLA requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities following development best practices.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including ETL design specifications, mapping documents, and operational runbooks.
• Support production environments by monitoring ETL jobs, resolving incidents, and implementing enhancements as needed.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, clearly articulating technical concepts, project updates, risks, and dependencies.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting team priorities, and driving continuous process improvements.
• Adhere to organizational standards, security guidelines, and data governance policies throughout the software development lifecycle
