Job Summary

As a developer working on StorageGRID manageability via Grid Manager Interface and other customer facing applications. You will be part of a highly skilled technical team and working closely with the team of software developers responsible for the development, testing and install/deployment of applications used by our post sales, partners, and customers.
Essential Functions:
A major part of your responsibility will be to apply current skills and use up-to-date technologies to complete projects as part of the design and development of application related solutions including:
• Coding
• Testing
• Debugging
• Documentation
As part of a team, you will participate in technical discussions, where evaluating and executing design and development plans for products/tools. Willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals.
Job Requirements
Technical:
Must Have’s:
• Proven experience as a backend developer or similar role
• Experience in software design and development.
• Strong hands-on in Ruby and Java with good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Design Patterns, Multi-threading.
• Proficiency in REST API design and implementation
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting technique.
• Experience on multiple operating system platforms (Windows, Linux, Solaris, Unix)
Nice to Have’s:
• Experience with XML and JSON parsing and generation
• Understanding of networking concepts such as transparent and non-transparent proxies
• Working knowledge of TLS certificates
Education
• A minimum of 4 years of experience is required. 4 to 8 years of experience is preferred.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a Master Degree; or equivalent experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
