CGI is looking for an experienced ELK Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable log management and monitoring solutions using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in log ingestion, dashboard creation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in enterprise environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
Develop and optimize Logstash pipelines for log collection, parsing, and transformation.
Configure Filebeat/Metricbeat/Winlogbeat for data collection from various sources.
Build and maintain Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and alerts.
Monitor and optimize Elasticsearch cluster performance, indexing, and search operations.
Troubleshoot log ingestion, indexing, and cluster-related issues.
Implement security features including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
Automate deployment and configuration using scripting or configuration management tools.
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to onboard new log sources.
Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery for the ELK environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.
Experience with Elasticsearch cluster administration and performance tuning.
Knowledge of log parsing, Grok patterns, and ingest pipelines.
Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
Experience integrating logs from servers, applications, databases, and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk is an added advantage.
Understanding of networking concepts, security, and SSL/TLS.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Elastic Certified Engineer certification is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
