Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.


About our Group


CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Description:

JD for Software project lead and BSW Lead:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of SW requirements for Software components on the central ECU and Agreement of SW requirements with suppliers.

  • Request and planning for Feature release plan and alignment with the integration plan with suppliers.

  • Monitor the Feature release plan and use escalation management when needed.

  • Monitor progress and resolve any issues or roadblocks regarding dependencies to integrate on the central ECU.

  • Monitor the resource consumption for respective Sensor SWCs on the ADAS ECU and challenge suppliers when needed.

  • Responsible for the defect Tickets /error tickets) for all topics related to the SWCs.

  • Preparation of SWC changes in the T-CCB and participation.

  • Deviation approvals (requirements that have not been implemented)

  • Regular sync up with Function owners/stakeholders (Internal too)

  • Stakeholder Management with BRANDS (VW, AUDI etc)

  • Ensure the testing of the sensor and its respective SWCs on the central ECU.

  • Handling of customer/supplier meetings or stakeholder management

  • System ownership for Base software stacks relevant on AUTOSAR platform.

  • Know how on ADAS concepts including various sensor sets such as Lidar, Radar, Ultrasonic sensors, Camera systems.

  • Hands on experience on failure management for ADAS ECUs.

  • Concept phase alignment alongside suppliers regarding AUTOSAR, interfaces, needed modules & release scheduling.

  • Hands on experience on data flow within the Base Software stack in the AUTOSAR architecture.
