Job Description

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Software Development Engineer (m/f/d) in the field of verification, you will develop test concepts in accordance with the V-Model and ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 and be responsible for the verification of software and systems in the automotive sector.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and coordinating complex technical interdependencies in software and hardware development for vehicle systems
  • Designing, planning, developing, and integrating test environments for control units
  • Developing test software in scripting and high-level languages
  • Specifying and conducting functional tests using DOORS
  • Coordinating with the development and quality departments
  • Commissioning and managing subcontractors/engineering service providers to handle subprojects

This position is available in Kassel or Kiel.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in software development or software verification
  • Experience in methodical software or systems development
  • Experience in developing safety-critical components in accordance with ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 is a plus
  • Experience working with DOORS is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German, as well as good written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work
