Description and Requirements
The Demo Centre of Excellence (Demo CoE) is responsible for designing, operating, maintaining, and continuously improving enterprise-grade demonstration environments used by Sales Engineers, partners, and internal stakeholders worldwide.
As a Sales Engineer in the Demo CoE team, the candidate will own the technical operations, administration, automation, governance, and enablement of demo platforms across SaaS, self-hosted, cloud, and containerized environments. The role requires close collaboration with Sales Engineering, Product Development, Support, Cloud Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure demo systems remain stable, secure, scalable, and aligned with the latest product capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Demo Platform Management
- Administer and maintain multiple production-grade demo environments across SaaS and self-hosted platforms.
- Ensure high availability, stability, resiliency, and performance of demo systems used for customer-facing demonstrations.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle activities including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, and decommissioning.
- Support partner and internal demo environments across global regions.
Cloud & Infrastructure Administration
- Manage resources across public cloud, private cloud, and containerized environments.
- Provision and maintain virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes/EKS resources, agents, plugins, and integrations.
- Drive cloud governance, housekeeping, resource optimization, and cost management initiatives.
- Monitor platform health and capacity to ensure optimal utilization of shared resources.
Platform Operations & Support
- Troubleshoot complex platforms, infrastructure, networking, authentication, and application issues.
- Support Sales Engineers with demo preparation, environment access, configuration, and issue resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain software components, agents, modules, plugins, and integrations.
- Act as an escalation point for demo-environment-related technical issues.
DevOps, Automation & GitHub Administration
- Manage GitHub repositories, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and governance standards.
- Maintain GitHub as the single source of truth for demo platform assets, workflows, and configurations.
- Develop automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support Jobs-as-Code, automated deployments, workflow promotion, and environment standardization.
Product Upgrades & Innovation
- Evaluate beta and GA releases of products and technologies.
- Plan and execute upgrades, patch deployments, and technology refreshes.
- Validate new features and integrations before broader adoption by the presale's organization.
- Research, prototype, and onboard emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and new integrations into demo environments.
Documentation & Enablement
- Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Deliver technical enablement sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Support onboarding Sales Engineers and partners onto demo platforms.
- Promote governance, standards, and operational best practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Sales Engineers to support customer demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities.
- Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Cloud Operations, IT, and Support teams.
- Gather feedback from users and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Balance operational excellence with strategic innovation projects.
Technical Skills
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar public cloud environments.
- Linux and Windows server administration.
- Kubernetes / Amazon EKS or equivalent container platform experience.
- GitHub administration, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices.
- CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent observability tools.
- Networking, authentication, SSO, and role-based access control concepts.
- Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Enterprise software deployment, upgrade, and troubleshooting experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in solution engineering, platform operations, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or enterprise software administration.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, or equivalent are preferred.
- Kubernetes or Amazon EKS certifications, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or AWS EKS-focused credentials/training, are preferred.
