Job Description Summary:

  • The Solution Train Engineer (STE) is a key leadership role responsible for coordination and communication across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the same Large Solution Train.
  • A solid understanding of SAFe and Agile methodology as well as program management experience is required.
  • This position is responsible for overseeing large scale and/or enterprise-wide business and technical solution development. 

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Solution Backlog, Solution Kanban, Solution Trains, Solution Demos, and Program Increments (PIs).
  • Facilitate Solution Planning readiness via fostering the preparation of Vision and Roadmaps
  • Facilitate the Solution Pre- and Post-Planning Event.
  • Facilitate Solution Demos
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the Solution Train, Agile Release Train, and Agile Teams help improve lean and agile thinking.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
  • Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology, Agile leadership roles (e.g. Release Train Engineer, Product Manager, Agile Coach), or business environment.
  • A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
  • Prior Experience as Release Train Engineer / Product Manager / IT Program/Portfolio Manager
  • Any Agile certifications

Domicile/Relocation:
  • This position is currently located in Collierville, Tennessee. Ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.
