Project description
Join Forte, and be part of the team in charge of processing most mobile financial transactions in Peru. You will work with other developers on the Data & Analytics team. We expect you to be involved in discussions related to all aspects of product and technology development.

Your Role
The client’s Machine Learning Engineering team is looking to hire a Backend Engineer to work on a personalization project. The goal of the role is to implement a highly scalable and reliable API that can be consumed by other technology teams within our client’s organization, this API will serve personalization models in the app.
- Design and develop the logic and backend systems for the product.
- Work closely with frontend developers to design and develop high-performance APIs.
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated tools to facilitate daily tasks.
- Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Ensure compliance with OWASP Top 10 security best practices.
- Challenge ideas and opinions to prevent errors or inefficient solutions.
- Integrate legacy systems and work with the data layer and databases.
- Generate documentation to facilitate the integration of APIs with various user interfaces.
- Monitor the efficiency of the developed services and perform unit and integration tests to validate different business flows.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in backend development.
- Solid experience with Node.js and creating RESTful services.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and clean code principles.
- Understanding of GraphQL is a plus.
- Ability to write code with impeccable quality, security, and readability.
- Experience working in agile teams is desired (1-2 years).
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security best practices is a plus.

- You have solid experience with Golang.
- You have experience collaborating with Machine Learning or Data Science teams.
