About the Role
Join Forte's team to help build a next-generation Portfolio Intelligence Platform for a leading private equity client. You'll play a key role in developing and operating a modern data platform on Snowflake, enabling standardized financial, operational, and commercial reporting across multiple portfolio companies.
This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity where you'll work across data ingestion, transformation, infrastructure, governance, and analytics while collaborating closely with the Principal Data Platform Engineer. If you enjoy owning data platforms end-to-end and working with modern cloud technologies, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Administer and optimize the Snowflake platform, including security, RBAC, warehouses, and governance.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop scalable transformation pipelines with dbt.
- Create operational tooling and custom connectors using Python.
- Configure and manage Fivetran connectors and data integrations.
- Collaborate on platform architecture and engineering best practices.
- Improve platform performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
What We're Looking ForMust Have
- 5+ years of experience in Data Platform, Analytics Engineering, or Data Engineering
- Advanced Snowflake administration experience (RBAC, security, governance, warehouses, resource monitors)
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Hands-on experience with dbt (models, tests, macros, incremental pipelines)
- Strong Python skills for automation and operational tooling
- Experience with Fivetran configuration and custom connectors
- Experience building scalable cloud-based data platforms
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar)

- Data governance, masking, and row-level security
- ERP/CRM integrations (Business Central, Epicor, IFS, HubSpot)
- Financial analytics and Private Equity reporting experience
