Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and support market data platforms within a Global Markets environment. This role focuses on developing end-to-end solutions across UI, APIs and data layers, supporting critical market data analytics, distribution and usage workflows.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack development, exposure to market data systems and the ability to operate in high-performance, production-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications across UI, backend services and data layers
Build and enhance market data platforms supporting analytics, distribution and consumption use cases
Develop APIs and services using modern frameworks (including gRPC) for efficient data access
Work with large-scale data stores (e.g., MongoDB, HBase) to manage structured and semi-structured market data
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and driving fixes end-to-end
Translate ambiguous business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions
Collaborate with trading, analytics and data teams to deliver robust and aligned solutions
Contribute to platform improvements, performance optimization and system scalability
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience in full-stack development (UI, backend APIs, databases)
Proficiency in Python or polyglot backend development
Experience building and consuming APIs (REST / gRPC)
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, HBase, or similar
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments
Proven ability to own issues end-to-end, including RCA and resolution
Experience working with large datasets and data-intensive applications
Domain Experience (Preferred)
Solid understanding of Front Office trading environments, including Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives
Strong knowledge of:
Market data concepts and usage
Trade lifecycle and data flows
Risk and pricing dependencies on market data
Experience working with enterprise trading and market data platforms
Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in banking environments
Technical & Data Stack (Preferred)
Experience with:
MongoDB, HBase, or similar distributed data stores
gRPC-based services for high-performance communication
Familiarity with:
Data modelling for market data schemas (metadata-heavy systems like FRTB taxonomies, instrument data, etc.)
Integration with analytics and downstream systems
Exposure to polyglot architectures and distributed systems
Good-to-Have
Experience with market data platforms or vendor data systems
Exposure to data streaming or real-time processing frameworks
Familiarity with cloud or distributed infrastructure environments
Prior experience in global banking or financial services environments
