Role Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis on business requirements and prepare technical design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, support teams to translate business requirements into effective and optimized solutions
- Design and implement applications using Java
- Execute unit testing using Junit
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and proactively apply them to enhance the development process
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to address performance and scalability issues
- Work closely with the BA/QA to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets established standards
- Collaborate with teams in multiple geos / locations
- Provide updates and status reports during development and related support activities
- Ensure solutions are based on standards, maintainable, and delivered on schedule
- Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies
- Proactively share accomplishments, knowledge, and lessons within the team
Requirements:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing Java applications
- Strong understanding of design patterns, architectural blueprints, UML and application design
- Experienced with microservices design
- Experienced with continuous delivery principles: Docker, Kubernetes, and basic DevOps
- Experienced with database technologies like MS SQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience in Golang is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with teams in multiple geos / locations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge about Retail domain preferred
