With market leader position of MediaTek SoC design, MediaTek GPU IP team is committed for industry leading, feature rich and PPA competitive GFX IP optimization, customization and development. The GFX IP will be not only deployed in flagship and mainstream mobile SoC, but also served as fundamental technology for adjacent markets like laptop, IoT, AI, VR/AR, automotive etc. The team is now hiring all areas of GPU talents in all levels including Architecture, Architecture, SW driver, Compiler, Performance, Power and Model engineers to join Cambourne, Cambridge.

Role and Responsibilities

•Define GPU compiler software architecture and interfaces.
•Development/implement GPU compiler pipeline, linking and various optimizations/transformations.
•Collaborate with Driver team, HW team to implement new API & HW features.
•Collaborate with Driver team, HW team to improve/tune performance & power consumption.
•Execute & deliver to meet milestones/schedules.
•Analyze and debug code generation issues.
•Analyze and influence future GPU architectures.
•Construct reliable & trustable relationships across teams internally & externally.

Main Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Requirement
  2. •BS, MS or PhD degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related majors.
  3. •Working experience on product compiler, compiler tools such as assembler, linker development.
  4. •Hands-on knowledge/experience on C/C++ programming.
  5. •Hands-on knowledge/experience on state-of-the-art compiler optimization/transformation techniques.
  6. •Hands-on knowledge/experience on LLVM.
  7. •Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  8. •Strong teamwork skill and execution capability.
  9. •Strong problem solving, root causing and debugging skills.
  10. •Strong self-driven skills.
  11. •Preferred skills:
  12. -Knowledge/experience on GPU/GPU pipeline and GPU architecture.
  13. -Knowledge/experience on SIMD architecture.
  14. -Knowledge/experience on D3D, Vulkan/OpenGL, OpenCL APIs.
  15. -Knowledge/experience on leveraging AI in compiler/tool/optimization development.
