THE TEAM:

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the AI and HPC landscape. Our mission is to design and market exceptional products—anchored by our Instinct™ GPU portfolio—that power the next generation of computing in enterprise data centers, cloud, and supercomputing environments. If you’re excited by AI disruption and want to be part of building something big, join us.

THE ROLE:

In the expanding world of AI, solid system integration and validation is paramount. Our AI rack-scale solutions demand rigorous testing for optimum performance and reliability. In this role, you will serve as a critical technical program manager in a dynamic, fast paced environment. As part of the AI Group Customer Solutions Engineering team, you will define deliverables, execute to quality goals, and deliver reliable rack-scale enterprise software solutions that meet product objectives.

THE PERSON:

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management and an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs. You must possess the ability to coordinate and lead activities, work with peer groups, and have strong analytical skills. Out of box critical thinking, adeptness in simplifying for efficiency, and influencing process changes are highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define, plan and drive project plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules by considering various components such as equipment availability, SW/FW schedules, and adjacent validation schedules
  • Be hands-on to analyze, assign, and track detailed project tasks.  Track performance against the plan of record to proactively resolve critical issues to maintain schedule.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders outside of the CSE organization including external vendors to ensure deliverables meet or exceed requirements.
  • Effectively manage incoming issue tickets and work with cross functional teams and internal teams to prioritize and help drive issues to resolution with all stakeholders

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven Program Management experience in a dynamic and competitive industry requiring large-scale integration of varying components, particularly within SW/HW or semiconductor engineering based organizations.
  • Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to fluidly participate in emergent conversations with stakeholders, and to create and evolve action plans.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
  • Engineering background preferred. 10+ years industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and low-level toolchains is an asset.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, PowerBI and Excel is an asset.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

LOCATION:

Austin preferred, but open to Santa Clara
