Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Python  with telecom domain exposure ( preferred)  to work on network automation, OSS/BSS integrations, backend services, and operational support systems. The ideal candidate should have strong Python development experience along with exposure to telecom environments, APIs, databases, and Linux systems.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Work on telecom OSS/BSS systems, network automation, and service orchestration.
• Build REST APIs and microservices for telecom platforms.
• Perform automation for network operations, alarms, monitoring, and provisioning workflows.
• Integrate systems with telecom tools, databases, and third-party applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including network, operations, and product teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and CI/CD activities.

Requirements

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python development.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, FastAPI/Django/Flask.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Exposure to Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Telecom domain experience is mandatory.
• Understanding of OSS/BSS architecture, network elements, or telecom workflows.
• Good debugging and analytical skills.

 

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to network automation tools.
• Knowledge of SNMP, NETCONF, YANG, SOAP, or telecom protocols.
• Experience with cloud platforms or OpenStack is an added advantage.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Verizon, AT&T, Vodafone, or similar telecom projects.
• Exposure to WiFi, broadband, fiber, or mobility domains.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
