Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Bangkok, Thailand. Perform structural analysis and design of projects utilizing steel, reinforced concrete, and other structural materials in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Develop and prepare comprehensive technical reports that clearly communicate complex structural engineering concepts to clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
Utilize commercially available design software packages and finite element analysis (FEA) tools to model, analyze, and optimize structural systems
Conduct independent technical reviews and quality control assessments of structural designs and calculations prepared by team members
Manage project deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle, coordinating technical delivery with internal teams and external clients
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs
Participate in site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing structures and identify design requirements
Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, building regulations, and sustainability requirements
Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in structural design using current building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, or equivalent international standards)
Strong experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software and commercial design packages
Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD software
Solid understanding of project management principles and practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical reports and proposals
Experience in client engagement and relationship management
Knowledge of construction contracts and professional service agreements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Experience with structural assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures is a plus
Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards is desirable
Willingness to work on a 2 years contract
