- Use
a range of computer software for developing detailed project designs
(structural & steel) and undertake complex calculations - Liaise
with clients and a variety of professionals including architects, quantity
surveyors, subcontractors - Manage,
design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large scale
projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner - Carry
out technical and feasibility studies to draw up blueprints that satisfy
technical specifications - Prepare
project plan, ensure jobs are executed according to plan and timeline to
meet clients’ expectation - Assess
potential risks, materials and costs of ongoing and upcoming projects:
advice Project lead/management appropriately. - Inspect
project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design
specifications and safety/sanitation standards - Provide
technical advice regarding design, construction or program modifications
and structural repairs in ongoing projects - Provide
advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies (design
or developmental) - Assess
the sustainability and environmental impacts of projects - Hand
over structures and services for use after completion of projects - Other
task as may be assigned by the COO from time to time
Requirements
- Master's degree
in Structural Engineering is an added advantage - Experience
developing schematics for structures in accordance with client
specifications and safety standards - Project
development and leadership skills are essential - Professional
work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed
structures - Extensive
knowledge and experience working with various operating systems - Ability
to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a
proposed project plan - Experience
with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture - Advanced
understanding of build materials, techniques and processes - Up
to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures - Relevant professional certifications
