has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer with
demonstrated experience in one or more aspects of building structural
engineering. The Structural Engineer will contribute to the
winning, management and delivery of projects. The role is to provide
leadership to professional and technical staff on complex projects of
varying scale that deliver high standard outcomes for MSE clients.
As the Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for
establishing and maintaining a client base working relationship and be
involved in regular client liaison and business development. The
successful candidate will be required to effectively control the
commercial, managerial and technical aspects of the project or part of
the project assigned.
Further duties include;
- Assisting the Directors with team management responsibilities.
- Ensuring effective communication of business issues within all aspects of the team.
- Understanding and implementing the Company's strategy relating to customers (repeat business).
- Having an awareness of marketing opportunities and the overall capabilities of the business.
- Understanding and implementing MSE core values in the entirety of their business operations.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in structural
engineering, along with
a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering background
such as; steel, timber or reinforced concrete experience across the
commercial & industrial disciplines. Furthermore, the ideal
candidate will have the following;
- Be well versed in Australian Standards, Typical Industrial Practice & NCC requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in managing projects (or components of) and budgets to meet time and resource requirements.
- A good understanding of construction methods, procedures and the design constraints they present.
- A successful track record and substantial experience in managing and leading projects.
- Be a collaborative team player and have an innate commitment to
learn new processes, along with a demonstrated ability to improve on
your existing skillset.
