Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern to join our Buildings & Places Structures team. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across sectors such as aviation, sport, culture & entertainment, education, healthcare, and transport infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams help uphold AECOM’s reputation for technical excellence and innovation.
How you’ll make a difference:
Assist with structural design and project delivery, helping to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and Building Codes of Australia (BCA).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help develop innovative and sustainable structural solutions.
Conduct structural analysis and support the preparation of design reports and engineering documentation.
Help with project management by tracking timelines, budgets, and resources, and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
Learn and apply best practices to enhance your technical skills and contribute to project outcomes.

Qualifications
**Summer Intern attributes: ** Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
Working Rights: Candidates must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible to obtain the required Defence Security Clearance for this role.
