Overview:
The Student Intern for the Collaborative Learning Institute (CLI) provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support to advance the Institute's mission of connecting education, industry, and the community. This position offers hands-on experience in higher education administration, employer engagement, event planning, project coordination, and professional communications while contributing to initiatives that enhance student success and regional workforce development.
Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities - Provide administrative support for CLI initiatives, meetings, and special projects. Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing employer, community, and professional development events. Help prepare presentations, reports, promotional materials, training materials, and meeting agendas. Maintain accurate records, databases, and contact information for corporate, nonprofit, and community partners. Support outreach efforts by assisting with email communications, scheduling, and follow-up with partners and campus stakeholders. Assist in researching workforce trends, industry partnerships, and potential collaboration opportunities. Create and update content for presentations, newsletters, social media, and marketing materials. Assist with collecting program data and preparing summaries to measure engagement and program outcomes. Support Career and Professional Development Center and Collaborative Learning Institute programming as needed. Represent the Collaborative Learning Institute in a professional and customer-focused manner during meetings, events, and campus activities. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, collaborative, and interested in gaining experience in project management, business engagement, communications, and event support. Qualifications - Current Robert Morris University undergraduate student in good academic standing. Federal work-study eligible. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Proficient with Canva and social media platforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Comfortable interacting with industry professionals. Primarily on-campus with occasional attendance at evening or special events.
