The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.

Job Summary

The job of Instructional Assistant, Migrant Head Start Program (Level IV) is done for the purpose(s) of assisting in the supervision and instruction of preschool aged children; performing classroom arrangement and clerical tasks; assisting children in meeting health and nutrition needs and developing children’s school readiness cognitive, language, physical and social and emotional skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Six months experience working as an instructional assistant in an early care and education setting. Experience in Head Start/Migrant Head Start programs preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
An Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university including completion of 24 semester units of early childhood/child development education.
