Job description

We are looking for an energetic Assistant STEAM Engineer Instructor - Teaching Assistant to join our team! As an Assistant STEAM Engineer Instructor, you will assist the classroom teacher with delivering engaging hands-on STEAM learning experiences. Your will help create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Support classroom instruction by assisting students individually and in small groups
  • Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, and during activities
  • Reinforce classroom rules and behavioral expectations 
  • Help prepare materials and organize classroom acticities 
  • Maintain accurate student records and assist with tracking progress 
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and lead teacher as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred
  • Familiarity with child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Ability to follow safety, health, and sanitation protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Ability to pass a background check

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
