We are seeking several Support Workers to join a Residential Home for young Adults with Learning Disabilities in Caterham, Surrey. Some of the residents also have associated Mental Health needs such as Autism, Epilepsy or Bi-Polar and the role requires you be able to deal with occasional Challenging Behaviour effectively.
You will be joining a team of around 20 Support Workers providing high quality 24/7 support to a small environment of around 10 residents; your tasks will include supporting the residents in their daily life and include the provision of full Personal Care. |

Requirements

· Able to deal with challenging behaviour |
· Excellent Verbal and Written skills |
· Must have a flexible attitude towards working hours |
· Able to pass DBS check |
Shift rota · Early shift – 7:15am to 2:45pm · Late shift – 2:15pm to 9:45pm · Requirement to work weekends as part of a rota (2 per month) |
Main Duties & Responsibilities

· To support the individuals in all aspects of their life, including full personal care. |
· To respect the dignity and individuality of each resident and provide the residents with choices |
· To ensure the safety of the residents at all times, reporting promptly any concerns |
· To be aware of the emotional needs and aspirations of each resident and provide opportunities for appropriate emotional expression |
