Job Description:

At CIMA+, the System Administrator – GitHub Platform & DevSecOps plays a key role in the reliability, security, and efficiency of software development environments. You will be responsible for administering the corporate GitHub platform and implementing DevSecOps practices, working closely with development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality, security, and delivery speed of the company’s technology solutions.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Administer and maintain the GitHub platform (organizations, repositories, access, policies)
  • Define and evolve DevSecOps standards (CI/CD, integrated security, automation)
  • Integrate security controls into pipelines (SAST, DAST, secrets, dependencies)
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve practices and tools
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements and IT policies
  • Support teams during incidents or issues related to pipelines and GitHub
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices
Qualifications:
  • IT professional passionate about automation, security, and modern development practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required to support activities across Canada
  • Structured approach, quality-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Integrity, team spirit, and commitment to excellence

Technical Skills

  • GitHub (Enterprise Cloud or Server)
  • Git, branch management, and deployment strategies
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
  • DevSecOps tools (code scanning, dependency security, secrets management)
  • Linux environments
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python—depending on context)

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years in system administration, DevOps, or DevSecOps
  • Hands-on experience working with software development teams
  • College diploma or equivalent training

Assets

  • Experience in corporate or multi-team environments
  • Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, OWASP)
  • Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • University degree in computer science or a related field

Technology Environment

  • GitHub Enterprise
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Application security tools
  • Hybrid environments (on-premises / cloud)
