Job Description:
The SysOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the stability and efficiency of our organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing and supporting servers, networks, and cloud-based systems, Acting second line support and Execute day-to-day system activities
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, troubleshooting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Manage and maintain servers, both on-premises and cloud-based.
Perform routine system monitoring and performance tuning.
Manage and respond to the monitoring alerts.
Install and configure network and applications (Nginx, Apache, MinIO, mail servers, DNS servers, ETC.).
Install and configure Database engines and perform dump and restore.
Install and configure proxies, WAF servers.
Incident Management and Resolution: Minimize downtime through effective incident response and resolution.
Plan and create a backup solution and disaster recovery including HW, SW, security and connectivity.
Review and optimize backup and recovery processes.
Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks.
Conduct performance testing and implement improvements.
Conduct a regular hardening process.
Respond swiftly to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Cloud Services:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Digital Ocean, Hetzner, ETC ).
Deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment.
Security:
Implement and maintain security best practices.
Monitor and respond to security incidents.
Automation:
Develop and implement automation scripts for repetitive tasks.
Streamline and optimize operational processes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Provide support to other departments.
Documentation:
Create and update system documentation.
Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
one year of experience in system administration or a similar role.
Certification in relevant technologies (Linux system administration, AWS, ) is a plus.
Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, ProxMox)
Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Prometheus,Zappix)
Experience with automation and scripting
A good Network knowledge
Skills:
Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
Familiarity with cloud computing and containerization.
Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
