Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Development Program Manager with a strong background in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related technical field, along with proven program management experience. This individual will play a critical role in our technical Centers of Excellence, driving strategic initiatives for our technical employees. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique learning needs of technical professionals and will collaborate closely with technical leaders and stakeholders to create, implement, and enhance technical training and development programs. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct learning needs assessments within our technical teams. Collaborate with technical leaders to understand existing competencies and identify areas for further development to inform the program strategy. 
  • Program Design and Development: Utilize your technical background to assist the Technical Center of Excellence in designing, developing, and refining cutting-edge technical training programs. Ensure these programs align with the current and future needs of the organization and industry trends. 
  • Implementation: Manage the roll-out of technical learning initiatives, coordinating with internal stakeholders, facilitators, and learners to ensure seamless delivery. 
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external training providers as needed. Ensure all vendors meet our high standards for quality and relevance to our learning objectives. 
  • Program Management: Manage the portfolio of technical learning programs, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Measure the effectiveness of learning programs using a range of metrics. Regularly report to senior leadership on program outcomes, learner feedback, and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Promotion of Learning Culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning within our technical teams, encouraging knowledge sharing, upskilling, and professional development. 
 
Example Deliverables: 
  • A strategic development roadmap for technical initiatives, including clearly defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics. 
  • A suite of top-notch technical training programs that cater to the needs of our technical teams and reflect industry trends and advancements. 
  • Regular reports showcasing the outcomes of learning initiatives, with learner feedback and actionable insights for continuous improvement. 
  • A strong culture of continuous learning within our technical teams, evidenced by increased engagement in learning programs, effective knowledge sharing, and active participation in professional development activities. 
  • Well-managed relationships with high-quality external training vendors, ensuring a variety of learning resources for our technical teams. 
 
Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience. Advanced degree or certification in Education, Human Resources, or related field is preferred. Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in program management within a technical environment, ideally in areas such as software development, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI, and machine learning. Solid understanding of learning and development principles, specifically applied in a technical context. 

Domicile Information: 
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. 
The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
