Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the full document lifecycle from creation through to archive and disposal.• Ensure all project documentation is correctly numbered, named, version controlled and status controlled in line with company procedures.
• Create, maintain and regularly update Master Document Registers (MDRs) for assigned projects.
• Maintain accurate and traceable project records, revisions, document statuses, approvals and issue histories.
• Administer and maintain SharePoint and other Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) used by project teams.
• Manage document metadata, permissions, version history and archive structures to ensure document integrity and accessibility.
• Coordinate document reviews and approval workflows in line with the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM).
• Monitor document review progress and follow up on outstanding approvals and actions.
• Prepare, issue and maintain project transmittals, including transmittal registers and submission histories.
• Administer and maintain Request for Information (RFI) logs, allocation registers and response tracking systems.
• Maintain design review and client comment registers, monitoring the closure of actions arising from reviews.
• Support Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors with accurate document control information and reporting.
• Produce regular document control reports and dashboards to support project governance and reporting requirements.
• Support compilation and management of Safety Files, O&M Manuals, As-Built Records and project handover documentation.
• Coordinate closeout activities and ensure records are archived in accordance with company procedures and retention policies.
• Deliver guidance and support to project teams on document control systems, procedures and best practice.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within document control processes and systems.
About the role
TLI Group are accepting applications for a Technical Document Controller within our Renewables business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, control, distribution, tracking and archiving of project documentation throughout the design, procurement, construction and handover phases of TLI Group projects. Acting as a central coordination point for project information, the Technical Document Controller will ensure documentation remains accurate, traceable, secure, correctly reviewed and approved, and readily available to internal and external stakeholders.The role will support project teams by maintaining document control systems, registers and workflows in compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry best practice, helping to ensure efficient project delivery and successful project handover.

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in document control or project administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using SharePoint and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
• Qualification or certification in Document Control, Project Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline is desirable.
• Additional qualification in Engineering, Construction, Design, Quality Management or Project Management is desirable.
Knowledge
• Document control principles and document lifecycle management.
• Master Document Register (MDR) administration and Document Distribution Matrix (DDM) processes.
• Document revision, status control, retention and archive management practices.
• RFI, transmittal and comment management processes.
• Design & Build project delivery environments.
