Project
For a strategic project in the naval sector, we are looking for a Technical Documentation Engineer to support the preparation and maintenance of technical manuals related to complex shipboard mechanical and hydraulic systems. The activity is aimed at producing operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts documentation according to customer standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze technical documentation, engineering drawings, BOMs, hydraulic diagrams and equipment specifications.
- Develop and update:
- Operation Manuals
- Maintenance Manuals
- Troubleshooting Guides
- Spare Parts Catalogues
- Maintenance Plans
- Installation Instructions
- Collect and consolidate technical information from designers, suppliers and subject matter experts.
- Ensure consistency, completeness and compliance with customer documentation standards.
- Participate in technical review meetings with customer representatives and engineering teams.
- Support the creation and management of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
Required Skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience in technical documentation for industrial, marine, energy, automation or complex mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and understand:
- Mechanical drawings
- Hydraulic schematics
- Assembly drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOM)
- P&ID and technical specifications
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Excellent Italian language proficiency (written and spoken).
- Good English reading and writing skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously with engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in naval, defence, marine propulsion or heavy industrial sectors.
- Experience with:
- Hydraulic systems
- Propulsion systems
- Mechanical transmission systems
- Rotating equipment
- Knowledge of logistics support documentation and spare parts management.
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards and lifecycle support documentation.
