The editor will refine complex analytic content into accurate, polished products for senior executives, including materials supporting White House–oriented requirements. The ideal candidate brings extensive Intelligence Community (IC) editing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced production environment with minimal to no guidance.

The editor will be required to work a staggered, four-day schedule from 10:00am to 8:00pm Eastern Time, remaining on site until products are complete. The editor must also be available for on-call editing and dissemination support as necessitated by world events.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing expert technical editing for analytic products, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with IC standards;
  • Reviewing and editing draft materials, applying required grammar, punctuation, formatting, and style guidance to produce publication‑ready documents;
  • Managing assigned tasks within the customer’s content management system, monitoring workflow updates, and responding to real‑time direction for an Executive Branch–oriented product line;
  • Coordinating iterative editing with authors and stakeholders to strengthen content, structure, and messaging;
  • Editing and integrating graphics in collaboration with visual designers and cartographers to ensure aligned, cohesive final products;
  • Working with front office personnel to obtain final approval on products;
  • Preparing final deliverables in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat PDF documents and coordinating with dissemination officers for timely distribution;
  • Disseminating, posting, and delivering intelligence products as required by the customer;
  • Engaging with senior officials and diverse stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and alignment with mission requirements;
  • Mentoring customer personnel to improve writing, editing, and production skills;
  • Ensuring all products adhere to applicable standards, style guides, and production processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph;
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience;
  • Expert-level proficiency in technical writing and editing with strong knowledge of intelligence analysis and IC writing standards;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and content management systems;
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality analytic products under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience leading or supporting teams in preparing and reviewing technical documents;
  • Experience mentoring less experienced personnel on writing and editing best practices;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience interacting directly with executive-level officials

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting national-level customers;
  • Experience working in the customer’s operational environment;
  • Ability and willingness to perform functions that extend beyond typical editorial duties, such as dissemination-related tasks;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to resolve issues without direct customer guidance
