Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership: • Provide technical guidance to the team and ensure adherence to Java coding standards. • Guide the team in applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and SOLID principles. • Lead the implementation of appropriate design patterns based on project requirements.
2. Design and Development: • Prepare and review technical specifications and design documents. • Ensure the creation of deployment binaries (JAR, WAR, EAR files) and guide the team in their usage. • Utilize advanced Java features (Java 8 and later) such as lambda expressions, streams, and clean code principles.
3. Code Quality and Testing: • Conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices. • Oversee the preparation and execution of unit test cases. • Ensure the implementation of automated testing frameworks for UI and backend systems.
4. Project Execution: • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical challenges. • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations. • Support deployment across diverse environments using microservices and Kubernetes.
5. Mentoring and Coaching: • Provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior engineers. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Work Experience
Required Skills and Qualifications: •
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent Engineering degree.
- Experience in development of Warehouse Execution Systems / Warehouse Management Systems
- Research, design and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements as indicated in scope of work, wireframes and/or sitemap documents.
- Actively lead in architecting and coding of the projects, whether it be backend, API’s, or databases.
- Ensure our payments related systems are secure & reliable.
- Management of new features and releases using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline (CDI).
- Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of databases, backend API’s and other custom programming assignments as applicable.
- Ability to perform backend/database programming for key projects.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.
- Assist with testing, debugging, documentation and overall quality assurance of projects.
- Ensuring the security and risk mitigation plans are in place with proper documentation.
- Experience in design and integration of applications across multiple enterprise and third party software systems
- Experience in analyzing legacy applications to find out architectural / design level gaps and rectify them.
- Should be proficient in Core Java, J2EE, Springboot, OODesign and Java architectures
- Experience in designing and developing web applications using Spring Boot, JPA, Messaging
- Experience in REST API design using Open API/ Swagger.
- Experience in microservices, containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience in DevOps tools – like git, maven, ssh
- Experience in any RDBMS (SQL Server/ MySQL/ Postgres/ Oracle)
