Job description

Ingenico is the global leader in payments acceptance solutions. As the trusted technology partner for merchants, banks, acquirers, ISVs, payment aggregators and fintech customers our world-class terminals, solutions and services enable the global ecosystem of payments acceptance. With 40 years of experience, innovation is integral to Ingenico’s approach and culture, inspiring our large and diverse community of experts who anticipate and help shape the evolution of commerce worldwide. At Ingenico, trust and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking an experienced API Product Manager to join our Global Core Platform Team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of aspects of the API product design, focusing on enhancing the experience for clients integrating with the platform. As a team we focus on key areas including user management, service and app configuration, provisioning, billing and subscriptions, non-functional requirements, single sign-on (SSO), observability, alerting, and manage the platform's public APIs as a product. This role requires expertise in developing enterprise-grade B2B SaaS API products and due to the technical nature of this position, some prior experience as a developer designing APIs and implementing integrations with third parties is essential.

Responsibilities

• Partner with domain-focused product managers to deliver the platform's public APIs, ensuring a highly discoverable and consistent DevX that will delight all clients
• Review of all Public OpenAPI specifications to ensure designs prioritise the external developer's experience.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and architects to solve problems together and deliver features efficiently.
• Articulate the context for new features through clear presentations and unambiguous documentation, empowering POs and their engineering teams to deliver at speed.
• Engage with external technical audiences to validate API designs, demonstrate API flows and ensure an outside-in approach to design our public API and integration patterns.
• Prioritize product requirements effectively, balancing impact and reach and effort to drive the highest value features first.
• Employ a diverse set of strategies—such as user interviews, platform analytics, and market research—to uncover and validate requirements effectively.
• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders, including executive teams, ensuring alignment and transparency across the product team.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Fluent with OpenAPI Specifications to drive a contract-first approach to API development
• Skilled in API design techniques to ensure consistency, discoverability and extensibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in building highly complex enterprise B2B SaaS products.
• Enjoys tackling complex topics and distilling those to find elegant generic solutions
• Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and technologies
• Comfortable with remote work and virtual collaboration in a global context
• A high degree of self-reliance and dedication to drive product delivery end to end
• A proven ability to adapt and remain resilient, driving progress and results despite ambiguity

Must-haves:
• Considerable experience as a developer creating API products and API led integrations.
• Experience working with a B2B SaaS platform, experience dealing with complex requirements with many stakeholders to align.

Should haves:
• Evidence of resilience, working through a situation with ambiguous requirements and being a team player

Nice to haves:
• Experience of the Payments Industry, MDM platforms, IoT

Our Benefits:

• 25 days of paid annual leave
• Additional health insurance
• Annual performance bonus
• Re:benefit monthly budget for flexible perks
• Birthday benefit: 1 extra day off in your birthday month + 102.25 EUR added to your Re:benefit
