Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Experience: Technical Program Management or Release Engineering experience delivering consumer-facing software and mobile applications
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to align diverse engineering, hardware, QA, product, compliance, and external OEM teams.
• End-to-End Release Expertise: Hands-on experience managing release calendars, leading Go/No-Go reviews, and executing phased production rollouts.
• Android Ecosystem Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Android build process (e.g., build artifacts, semantic versioning, CI/CD pipelines).
• Monitoring & Analytics: Proficiency with real-time dashboards and crash reporting tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Play Console, or custom telemetry platforms).
• Communication & Decision-Making: Strong leadership presence with the data-driven confidence to approve, delay, or halt releases to protect product quality.
• Experience managing software/hardware release cycles in the automotive, Android Automotive OS (AAOS), or OEM ecosystem.
• Deep familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and modern CI/CD release automation tools.
Roles & Responsibilities
• End-to-End Release Management: Lead the complete software release lifecycle starting from branch cut through deployment, staged rollouts, and post-launch monitoring.
• Cross-Functional & Partner Alignment: Drive daily coordination across Engineering, QA, Product, Hardware, Compliance, and external OEM partners to keep timelines, project scope, and release goals aligned.
• Environment & Deployment Coordination: Maintain the release calendar, schedule deployment windows across internal, staging, and production environments, and manage risk and calendar conflicts.
• Go/No-Go Leadership & Launch Readiness: Chair production readiness reviews and Go/No-Go meetings, evaluating open bugs, test coverage, and legal/compliance requirements before authorizing production pushes.
• Staged Rollouts & Stability Monitoring: Execute phased production ramp-ups, while actively monitoring real-time crash rates, system stability, and performance metrics.
• Risk Resolution & Resource Planning: Spot technical or schedule disconnects early to clear blockers, while identifying and securing the necessary tools and headcount.
• Metrics & Process Optimization: Build real-time progress dashboards and host post-release retrospectives to drive continuous process improvements across future release cycles.
• Basic Android Build Oversight: Leverage foundational Android build knowledge (e.g., APK/AAB generation, versioning, release configurations) to validate release candidate packages.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams (design, software) and non-technical teams (operations, technicians).
Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000 a year
