Job description

3Shape is looking for a talented Project Manager to join our Reconstruction Software Area. As world leader in this domain, we have driven the evolution for decades and are setting the future standard. This is your opportunity to thrive, learn and contribute to cutting-edge solutions used daily to improve dental health around the world.

You will be joining a collaborative and creative team of twenty Computer Vision and Software professionals at the absolute forefront—forming the best 3D and computer vision team in the country. We are looking for a technically anchored, facilitating project manager who can keep us on top of the technical roadmap, overall planning and project dependencies, while also collaborating closely with Product Management to clarify what delivers the most value and why.

ABOUT US

At 3Shape we aim to advance dental treatment and diagnostics with advanced software and 3D scanners designed for dental professionals across the globe. Our purpose is to advance innovation in dentistry, continuously enhancing patient care and outcomes.

This role places you at the heart of our technological advancements within Product Creation, namely TRIOS & SCANNER SW, offering the chance to shape the trajectory of our innovative products and software applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Majority of the R&D efforts are executed as multiple parallel chunks of work; an initiative where two to four developers teams up for several months to achieve a certain target. Each initiative has a lead. You will manage the sum of initiatives, outline the long-term plan, and drive stakeholder management—ensuring clarity on goals, scope, and success criteria.

  • Next to the planned initiatives there are bug reports and other curve-ball activities that need your orchestration to progress with as little impact on the initiatives as possible—balancing urgent issues with long-term product outcomes.

  • Partner with Product Management and initiative leads to translate product needs into actionable work: refine and communicate priorities, break down initiatives, and help establish clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and “definition of done”.

  • Coordinate and manage project dependencies with other software and hardware teams and projects. Represent the team in release planning and communicate risks, trade-offs, and impact on customer value.

  • Manage the technical roadmap and development plan for the team, ensuring we are working towards the product vision. Prepare, facilitate, contribute to, and document ideations, priority discussions, decisions, and (where relevant) measurable outcomes.

  • In summary, take ownership of the day-to-day operations for the full team—and help create the transparency and product focus that enables great decisions.

  • Have fun!

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience from project or team leadership in a software development and/or research setting—ideally in the context of computer vision or other signal processing domains.

  • A self-driven team player with enthusiasm for collaborating in a highly technical R&D setting. Curious about technology and motivated to understand how things work—and why they matter for users and the business.

  • Someone who is not afraid of hands-on work next to strategic and tactical efforts. For example: keeping the roadmap and backlog in great shape, preparing/facilitating/documenting stakeholder discussions, and tidying up in the bug-tracker.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

What 3Shape offers

  • A vibrant and international environment with social, diverse, and highly skilled and collaborative colleagues - we are more than 50 nationalities in our DK based office

  • An attractive healthcare package to keep you fit and well.

  • Breakfast every day, and delicious and healthy lunch cooked by our private chefs.

  • We provide a great social work environment with many optional activities and social clubs, ranging from wine & beer, board games, running to bicycle clubs.

  • Good work/life balance.

  • Attractive offices and R&D lab spaces in downtown Copenhagen close to Kgs. Nytorv, Nyhavn, and the Copenhagen Canals.

  • Purpose: Endeavor to improve dental patients on a global scale.

Staying true to our values and D&I efforts, we encourage all relevant applicants to apply, and we ask you NOT to add any photos or sensitive information (age, marital status, nationality) during the application process.

We encourage all relevant applicants to apply. We are committed to celebrating human diversity, and we trust that the best way to reach outstanding business results, is by welcoming diverse people into our community.
