About the position

Join our Defence team working on the Sitaware Headquarters program – a vital battle management system enhancing decision-making across land, air, and maritime forces. You'll be part of a scrum team, and you’ll ensure high-quality delivery from planning through to deployment, mainly via manual testing. 

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is part of Systematic’s Defence Business Unit. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team split between Aarhus and Bucharestand become a key player in our wider QA community of over 40 experts.
 
Play a key role in the test process

As our new Test Engineer colleague, you will play a vital role in the development process, collaborating closely with your team to ensure the highest level of software quality from the early planning phase to final delivery.
 
You will:
•    Create and maintain all kind of test documentation like Test considerations, Test Cases, risk analysis, defect reporting.
•    Be a vital part of the development process, ensuring quality in our features by asking critical questions, thoroughly understanding the assignment, and closely cooperating with all stakeholders such as developers, Product Owner, and Project Manager.
•    Participate in all test activities like System Test, Bug Hunt etc.
•    Contribute to test planning, engage in automation design, and ensure that new features have a testable design.
•    Be the customers advocate for a usable product
 
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.

What we are looking for:

•    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field like Computer Science, Electronical Engineering or similar;
•    3–4+ years of experience in software testing and a solid understanding of testing principles;

•    Eager to contribute to high-quality software delivery, with an interest in automation;
•    Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment;
•    Nice to have: experience with scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell, and familiarity with the military domain.
