Job description

Work type: 24-month Secondment
Location: Brisbane or Melbourne

The Role


CTEO is seeking expressions of interest from Air Traffic Controllers who hold or have held a tower rating to be considered for potential secondment opportunities to work within the Tower Technology Replacement Program as the Program Operational Lead (POL) and ATC subject matter expert.


Initially there is one full-time secondment opportunity for a Program Operational Lead, however the merit pool will be considered for future opportunities as and where required.


Skills, Competencies and Qualifications



  • Currently or recently licensed Air Traffic Controller (Aerodrome Control Rating)

  • Knowledge of, or experience in, managing in busy primary aerodrome environments

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a project environment (on-site and off-site)

  • Experience with the concept/design, integration, and operation of next gen technology

  • Knowledge of aerodrome design and technology interactions – ATM and airfield systems

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment (mixed stakeholders)

  • Ability to achieve performance targets, key performance indicators, and strategic objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret regulations, certification requirements, and review, develop, and design processes and procedures for new and innovative technology

  • Demonstrated understanding and upholding of Airservices purpose and values


This role will be required to comply with and acquit the Asset and Technology Governance Standard – per Program Operational Lead Roles and Responsibilities (per AA-NOS-TMS-0002).
