Job Description

Our Materials Management team is seeking a Full-time Value Analysis Implementation Coordinator. This position will work Monday - Friday from 8a -4p.

 

Job Summary

Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.

Example of Essential Functions:

• The Value Analysis Coordinator assists the Manager of Value Analysis with Supply Chain activities and associated product conversions. 

• Reviews new product requests, coordinates trials/product evaluations, and facilitates consensus among clinical stakeholders.

• Works to support the Department’s cost reduction and quality improvement goals as well as collaborates with Buyers, Analysts, Clinical Teams and other team members.

• Collaborates with the distributer and/or manufacturer as well as assists the Strategic Sourcing Specialist with procurement.  

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong data gathering skills

• Must demonstrate proficiency in project management and have strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Must be proficient with MS Office; Excel, Word, and Power Point.

 

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:

• Associate's degree in business- or health care-related field is preferred but years of experience equivalents will also be considered. 

• Clinical experience as a LPN, C.N.A, or Healthcare/Surgical Tech is preferred. 

• 1-2 years of Buyer/Purchasing experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Medium Work – Lifting up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes) and/or carrying up to 25 pounds while walking.   Pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds infrequently or up to 115 pounds occasionally (no more than once per hour).

Repetition:  Repeating the same motion over and over again places stress on the muscles and tendons.  The severity of risk depends on how often the action is repeated, the speed of the movement, the required force and muscles involved.
