About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Value Engineer to join our Value Management (VM) organization within the Intelligent Cockpit SBU. This role sits at the core of execution, driving value creation through hands-on engagement in VM workshops and continuous development of the ideation pipeline.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and mature cost optimization opportunities across IVI/CDC programs. By applying value engineering principles at the product and component level, you will play a key role in translating ideas into actionable solutions that deliver measurable cost, quality, and performance improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence product competitiveness while building strong technical and business acumen.

Your Team

Operates within a cross-functional organizational model with no direct reports. Success in the role relies on strong collaboration and influence across diverse teams and disciplines.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional VM (VAVE) workshops for RFQs and awarded programs, driving structured ideation and actionable outcomes

  • Own and manage the VM ideation pipeline, ensuring continuous flow, prioritization, and tracking of value ideas from creation to implementation

  • Analyze system architecture, HW blocks, and mechanical concepts to identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining product performance and quality

  • Collaborate closely with hardware and mechanical engineering, system architecture, procurement, and program teams to validate feasibility and drive implementation of ideas

  • Support RFQ/RFX activities by contributing cost-saving ideas and strengthening BOM competitiveness through targeted value engineering inputs

  • Drive data-driven decision making by maintaining accurate tracking of savings, pipeline maturity, and implementation status across programs

  • Promote reuse of proven ideas and HW blocks across projects to accelerate cost optimization and improve time to market

  • Actively contributes to continuous improvement of VM processes, workshop methodologies, and tools to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with technical background; an advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Value Management or related disciplines such as VAVE, cost engineering (electronic/mechanical systems), or automotive component engineering within the automotive or technology sectors.

  • Understanding of automotive electronics technologies and the end-to-end value chain.

  • Proven ability to lead technical presentations and facilitate workshops with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, KPI tracking, and relevant software tools.

  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

What is Nice to Have

  • Project management and organizational capabilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Experience with Automotive Infotainment/Intelligent-Cockpit products and projects.

  • Automotive Tier1 RFQ experience

What We Offer

  • Access to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more)

  • Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University

  • Competitive wellness benefits

  • “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program

  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development
